With a title like that, we bet you're now thinking that our latest adventure took us off to Kenya, or similar. Far from it, we're actually back from an adventure in Derbyshire, but it's true we did get to go on safari.
We only had to go as far as the Peak Village outlet shopping centre at Rowsley. We were actually supposed to be looking for some walking boots for our male minder, but we found the 'Pollyanna Pickering..absolutely animals' shop far more interesting.
Our first close up encounter with one of the big 5 was, as you can see, with a giraffe who we found out was called Gerry. We wondered if he was a friend of Raffee. The great thing about this safari is that not only did you get to see the animals close up you could also ride them and have a chat.
While George and Chelmer were riding Gerry, I, Yorkie, had an especially brave moment and plucked up courage to get up close and personal with a tiger. I needn't have been scared though as he was just a big pussy cat. I guess I need to be careful when talking to tigers though as the next one I meet might not be quite so friendly.
Lots of love, Yorkie xxx

I don't recognise Gerry the giraffe, but he could be a distant relation. Did you shake him to see if he tinkled. All my relations have little bells in them.
Nice to see you are having great adventures. I am waiting for Naughty Bear to publish my latest one.
Love
Raffeee
Lovely to hear from you Raffeee and glad you're following the blog.
Gerry was really solid, he wasn't quite as cuddly as you Raffeee. We certainly didn't hear any bells, but there again he was too heavy to shake.
We're looking forward to hearing about your latest adventure when Naughty bear recover sufficiently to publish it.
Love all at B.U. xxx
